College Admission Advising for Art Classes

We are pleased to now offer our services to high schools.This makes it
ipossible for ADEA to provide services to students on an individual or
group basis through their public or private high school.

ADEA college admission services include:

> a careful, objective assessment of student’s interests, needs and goals

> identification of colleges that are good choices for the student

> admission portfolio development assistance

> art and design skill development as needed

> application process guidance

> college visits

> other college admission services as needed by the high school

ADEA career development services include:

> explanation and discussion of art/design career options

> explanation of educational paths for various art/design careers

> encouragement for students to set goals and to attend college

> coordination of visits by art/design professionals to discuss their work

> coordination of student visits to art/design offices or studios

> other career development services as needed by the high school

Additional programs

Help for at-risk students

To motivate and to help direct creative, artistic students who may be at

risk of dropping out of school, we can develop a program combining elements
of career development and post-high school educational advising.

Design thinking coursework

We will work with high schools to develop cross-disciplinary coursework

that integrates design thinking into new or existing curriculum. The ability to
think creatively and to work collaboratively across disciplines is considered
an essential competency for future workers by many experts.

Fees

We invite interested high school administrators to contact us to discuss
their needs. We will be happy to provide a proposal outlining the services
and process we recommend to meet your high school’s unique objectives.
