Assessment

We work with beginning and experienced graphic designers to help them maximize their creative potential and to achieve their personal career goals. Success to a new graduate who has been unable to land their first job would be getting their first design position. For an experienced designer, however, success may be finding a more personally satisfying way to use their design skills. The first step in our career coaching process is determining who the client is—their goals, strengths, weaknesses, educational background, experience, etc. We assess where the person currently is in their career and where they would like to be. We work with the client to develop a plan that will strengthen any weaknesses and that will help guide them toward their career goals.

Development

Once we develop a plan for a client, we work with them to implement that plan. For some this may mean working with them on new projects that will strengthen their portfolio. Other clients may need tutoring to give them the computer and/or web design skills they need to be more competitive. Some may need to practice presentation skills or to develop more self confidence. We may recommend that some clients take additional coursework to improve their employability.

Our goal is to make a noticeable improvement in our client’s work and/or their work process in the shortest period of time reasonably possible.
