Commonly asked questions: about us

Does your firm offer scholarships for its services?
No, we do not. However, several times a year, we will offer free portfolio development workshops at St. Louis area high schools to assist art and design students who have limited financial means. If you are interested in having us conduct a workshop at your high school, please e-mail us at: info@artdesignea.com

I do not live in St. Louis. Can you still work with me?
Yes, we are happy to work with students anywhere in the United States. We will work with you through a combination of e-mail, telephone, and regular mail. If there are several students in a particular area working with us, we will visit the city to meet with them periodically.

Who would work with me?
You will work directly with the managing partner, Patricia Boman. Students who need additional help in a specific area may work with an associate of the firm to develop that skill. For example, if a student needs to develop stronger drawing skills, we will would arrange for the student to be tutored by an outstanding drawing instructor.

My high school offers college advising. Shouldn’t I just work with them?
It is wise for a student to take advantage of all the services available to them. However, because an art and design student’s educational needs tend to be unique, specialized knowledge of art and design is very important. While many high school counselors can point a student in the general direction, they typically lack the expertise to offer the in-depth assistance most needed by students and their families.

Can you guarantee a student will get into the college of their choice?
No, it is not possible for us to offer our clients guarantees of any sort. However, we will work very hard with each of our clients to help them achieve the most positive outcome possible.
